Quartz countertops are a man-made engineered stone countertop formed by combining 90-95% ground quartz with 5-10% resins, polymers, and pigments. This forms a very hard granite-like surface. The appearance depends on how the quartz is ground: coarsely ground quartz produces a large flecked appearance, while more finely ground quartz produces minimal fleck to an almost smooth look.
